Christ it's late. Anyway, yeah, I've always thought of Pyramid Song as being a very happy song rather than deathly and ghostly, even though it is. I'm just saying this because of a post made by Dom on Ugmo:
I think the reason why I see it as one of the happiest songs of all time is because, as I mentioned in great deal in a previous blog, death is by far my biggest fear. I believe that once you die, it's the end; you will never experience any type of thought or emotion ever again. What does this have to do with anything? Well, Pyramid Song, to me, is describing the journey of dying and going to heaven. The line "nothing to fear, nothing to doubt" is exactly what I want, I don't want to fear death or doubt that I go to heaven, but I do in a significant manner. The song fills me with a sort of emotion that I want but am never going to really feel.
Ehhh, sounds really kinda lame. I'm getting into the song too much, I know. To summarise: when I die, I want the events described in Pyramid Song to happen to me, even though I don't think they will, but I still want it and listening to the song kinda gives me that illusion, it's strong imagery, it's immersive. But then again, there's obviously the whole side that I can't explain: the music. It's a musical materpiece, filled with odd piano chords, weird time signatures, amazing drums, the whole orchestra thing. Yeah, so, it's got an amazing concept and amazing music, all coming together for a wonderful song. Lovely.
Right, that's that then. I promise not to write about Radiohead for a while, haha. On the brightside, this is a pretty short blog; rejoice! I'm also developing a bit more of a writing skill recently, I've never reviewed an album before but I think I did a good job with not too much effort. This might help with my upcoming English exams, too. Nice.

Hahahaha, hmmm
Reading back at my blogs...I seem like a horribly depressed person. I'm not, I swear! I think I just don't ever feel like writing blogs when I'm happy; I usually have better things to do...like continue what I am doing to make me happy. I guess, I just assume that no one wants to read blogs about me being happy. That's pretty stupid of me though, because just because I'm happy doesn't mean I have to write about being happy. Silly Jack Bz.
So yeah. I think the reason these blogs aren't usually funny is because I feel like I have to write about serious subjects. The original reason I created this blog was to write about something that would seem totally out of place on my MySpace blog. Yeah, if you go back and read, it was about evolution etc. I guess, I also felt that the rest of my blogs needed to have a similar tone/subject (which was basically me expressing my views about controversial things etc). Now I just think, y'know, I am just gonna write whenever, and the topic doesn't have to be a work of art (these days they haven't been anyway. I've just been posting youtube videos).
So yeah, how was my day? It was nice. It's my sister's 20th birthday, so we all went to a Thai restaurant to eat nice food. I'd never eaten Thai cuisine before, so it was rather lovely.
I've been very interested in piano recently (or my keyboard to be more precise). I've successfully learned the intro to Pyramid Song, and the verse to Last Flowers (both songs by Radiohead). I'm quite proud because I've never really tried playing piano before, but I searched some how to videos on youtube (well, for Pyramid song I just looked at some tabs). I also tried learning Space Dementia. Yeah, it's impossibly hard, and I've given up on that. Not just because I've never had lessons or have that much skill in piano, but because the how to video only shows the introduction, AND she's playing it wrong. Maybe one day though.
I tried writing a song today; it's turning out alright. Strongly inspired by Talk Show Host, but sounds a bit like 2+2=5. Why yes.
That is the end of my wonderful blog of magic.

This quote just makes me laugh
"My friend Leo first witnessed Radiohead sometime around 1997, when it was still possible to be unfamiliar with Radiohead. They were performing "Paranoid Android" on MTV2, and he was instantly captivated by Thom Yorke's unusual vocals. He was deeply touched by the singer; the squinty eye, the tremulous warbling and mumbling and the facial contortions, the gimpy walk. He reasonably gleaned that this was some sort of "Make a Wish" style charity event, and that Thom Yorke was actually a mentally disabled man who was living his dream of singing with a rock band. Not only was Leo sincerely convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that Thom Yorke was retarded, he was so touched by a lingering close-up of the palsied singer that he was moved to tears. I can only imagine his embarrassment when he found out that Thom Yorke is not technically retarded. "
I mean, you probably won't find this funny at all if you're not familiar with Radiohead/Thom Yorke but hahhahaha. I can understand, but... still. He doesn't look THAT disabled.
Today, on the bus, I had to sit next to a homeless man (I assume he was anyway). He smelt a bit bad. I mean, no big deal, so the guy smells? He's homeless, give him a break. It's just, at one point, he leaned forwards a bit. I assumed he was looking out the window or something. That was until a horrible stench entered my nostrils. Yeah, he just kinda did a silent but deadly fart. Yeah it was bad but I got off the next stop anyway. Yeah.
...lol...
For some reason I can't seem to recall anything further than the fart...I guess it's because my day was not so great but still much more important things happened then a tramp farting.
Well, I guess that's the beauty of my blogs. I go straight from an introduction about me, to evolution, to farts. Next blog will probably be about ponies.
